A Tradie Website Has One Job
A homeowner with a leaking roof does not want to read about your values. They want to know you fix roofs, you cover their suburb, you are licensed and insured, you have done it before, and how to call you - in the first ten seconds, on a phone, probably standing in the rain. Every tradie website we build is designed around that moment. The number is in the header on every page. Each service has its own page, because "roof repairs" and "re-roofing" are different searches and different jobs. The suburbs you serve are named, not implied. And the photos are of your work, because customers can tell the difference between your last job and a stock photo of a smiling man in a hi-vis.
We have built more than 1,200 websites since 2015, most of them for trades, and we still look after most of them. That is why the structure below is not a theory: it is what keeps ringing phones across hundreds of businesses. Browse our work to see it in practice, and our website design Auckland page for the full list of what every build includes.

Trades We Build Websites For
The pattern is the same across trades and the details are not. A plumber needs an emergency page and an after-hours number; a builder needs a project gallery and the Licensed Building Practitioner details; a painter needs before-and-after photos. We have built enough of each to know what customers look for.

What Goes Into a Tradie Website
| Part of the site | Why it is there |
|---|---|
| Home page | Trade, area, proof and phone number in the first screen. Everything else is one tap away. |
| Service pages | One per service you want more of. This is what Google ranks and what a customer with a specific job lands on. |
| Service area pages | The suburbs and towns you cover, so "electrician Henderson" finds a page about electricians in Henderson. |
| Gallery | Your real jobs, captioned with the job and the suburb. Proof beats promises. |
| About page | The people, the years, the licences, the insurance, the guarantees. Nervous customers read this page. |
| Reviews | Your Google reviews on the site, and a review link you can text after every job. |
| Contact and quote form | Number, form, hours, area. The form reaches your phone, not just an inbox you check on Friday. |
| Guides | Answers to the questions you get on every quote. Also what Google and AI search now quote. |
How It Works
A short call
Your trade, the jobs you want more of, the areas you will drive to, and the competitors you keep losing to.
We draft, you correct
Page structure and copy in plain language for you to fix. You know your trade; we know what Google and customers look for.
Build and preview
Built on WordPress with your branding and photos. You check it on your own phone on a private link.
Launch, then measure
Domain, SSL, Search Console, Analytics and call tracking set up on launch day, and the first form message sent by us to prove it lands.
After Launch: Getting Found and Getting Leads
A website is where leads land, not where they come from. Once the site is live, the same team can run SEO for tradies so it ranks for the trade-and-suburb searches, Google Ads for tradies for work this week, and Facebook and Instagram ads using your job photos. Start with the site, add the channel that fits your budget, and read our guide to doing it in the right order.
Useful reading before you brief anyone: the pages a trade website needs, contact forms that do not lose leads, why mobile speed matters and who should own your domain.
Tradie Website FAQs
How much does a tradie website cost in NZ?
A fixed price quoted before we start, based on how many services and areas you want pages for and whether you have photos and copy. A standard trade site - home, six to ten service pages, gallery, about and contact - is the most common build we do. Hosting, maintenance and minor updates are a small monthly amount with no lock-in.
How long until my tradie website is live?
About three weeks from when we have your logo, photos and a list of services and areas. If you are between jobs and can turn feedback around quickly it can be faster.
I do not have professional photos. Does that matter?
Real job photos from your phone beat stock photos every time, because customers can tell. We work with what you have, tidy them up, and swap in better ones as you take them.
Will the website get me on Google?
It launches SEO-ready and usually appears in Google within a week. Ranking for competitive terms like "plumber Auckland" takes ongoing work, which is what our SEO for tradies service does. We tell you honestly which terms the website alone will earn and which need a campaign.
Can customers book or request a quote from the site?
Yes. Every site has a click-to-call number in the header and a quote form that reaches your inbox and your phone. Booking calendars and job-management integrations are available where your business runs on one.
Who owns the website and the domain?
You do. The domain is registered in your name and the site is yours. We publish a guide on exactly what to check with any web company: who owns your trade website, domain and hosting.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes, it is WordPress, and we show you how. Most tradies prefer to text us the change and let us do it, which is included for minor updates.
Do you work with tradies outside Auckland?
Yes. Most of the sites in our portfolio are outside Auckland - Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and further south. Everything happens by phone and email.
